It was nice talking to you again
Iyon ang huli niyang sinabi bfore we hung up on the phone last night.

Right fter his phone call, tinext ko agad ang mga barkada ko para ikuwento ang nangyari. Hanggang ngayon, nangingiti pa rin ako kapag naaalala ko ang conversation namin kagabi.

It has been two years since we last talked on the phone. At mahigit isang taon ko na rin siyang hindi nakikita pero, thinking of him still makes me feel so good. Siya si Gian, ang aking Mr. Could Have Been, ang isang malaking "What If" sa buhay ko.

Nagkakilala kami sa birthday ng barkada ko, four years ago. Hindi ako naniniwala sa love at first sight pero unang kita ko pa lang sa kanya, nagkaroon na agad ako ng interest. Pero hindi ko pinahalata, hindi ko rin pinansin. Suplada nga daw ang dating ko noon sabi niya. Natuwa ako noong tumabi siya sa akin habang nag-iinuman na ang mga tao. Tapos,nakipag-usap siya sa akin. Nagkuwentuhan na kami. Hanggang alas-sais ng umaga. Nung nag-uwian na, inamin ko na sa sarili ko na crush ko siya. Kahit na hindi siya ang tipo ko. Gusto ko kasi noon ng maitim, saka yung medyo bad boy ang dating. Eh siya, ang kinis ng kutis. Ang puti pa. Tapos, hindi siya umiinom, hindi naninigarilyo. Daig ko pa nga eh.

After a few days, binalita sa akin ng barkada ko na kinumusta daw ako ni Gian, at hiningi daw niya ang pager number ko. Hindi ako nagpa-obvious na kinilig. In fact, dedma lang ako. Pero after a few days, nahalata din ako ng mga barkada ko. "in love ka, no?" hirit nung isa. inamin ko rin na crush ko si Gian.


Naging close kami ni Gian. Gumigimik ng sabay barkada namin. At kahit hindi siya umiinom, sumasama siya sa inuman. Juice ! nga lang ang inoorder nya. O kaya Cali Ice.

Tinutukso na ako ng mga barkada ko sa kanya. Sabi nila, baka siya na! May kakaiba daw sa kilos niya tuwing magkakasama kami. They said he was perfect for me. Akala ko rin.

Minu-minuto kung mag-page sya sa akin. Tinatawagan nya ako gabi-gabi.Alam na niya kuwento ng buhay ko. Ikinuwento nya rin sa akin lahat ng past girlfriends nya. Nung unang usap naming, tinanong nya ako kung ano hanap ko sa lalaki. Sinabi niya rin kung ano ideal girl niya. Basta kailangan daw,marunong magluto ung magiging girl friend niya. Tapos, bigla niya akong tinanong kung marunong ako magluto. Nung time na yun, prito lang ang alam kong lutuin. Sana tanungin nya uli ako ngayon. Proud kong sasabihin na masarap akong mag-adobo, sinigang, escabeche, atbp.

We were each other's last call of the day. Minsan, nanonood kami ng TV ng sabay at hindi na nag-uusap, pero hindi namin binababa ang phone! Mag-uusap kami kapag commercial break. Kung wala nang magandang palabas,makikinig kami sa iisang radio station. Tapos, unahan sa paghula ng title ng kanta. Or sasabayan namin ang mga kanta sa radyo. Gabi-gabi, inaabot kami ng madaling araw sa telepono. Pero hindi ako nagsasawa. Parang hindi kumpleto araw kapag hindi siya tumatawag. Kinikilig mga kaibigan ko para sa akin. Finally,may nahanap na daw ako matinong lalake. Iyung naging boyfriend ko kasi,asshole. Tapos, ung mga nanligaw sa akin, walang kuwenta. Ang problema, hindi naman nanligaw si Gian eh. Wala naman siyang sinabi. Pero madalas niyang sabihin na torpe siya. Na hindi daw niya masabi sa girl na gusto nya ito. Lalo na at kaibigan daw niya yung girl. Baka masira daw friendship nila. Baka hanggang friends lang daw tingin sa kanya noong babae. Kaya sana daw magbigay ng hint yu! ng babae. Tinanong ko siya kung anong hint ang kailangan niya.Kasi baka ! nagbibigay na ng hint yung girl, hindi niya napapansin dahil ibang signs ang hinihintay niya. Kaya sabi ko, mas maganda kung aminin niya. Ang problema, hindi nga raw niya maamin!

Dahil sa sinabi niya, umasa ako. Naghintay. Baka nato-torpe lang siya kaya hindi niya maamin sa akin. Kaya on my end, gumagawa ako ng way para maipakita na gusto ko siya. Kapag nag-page siya at nagpa-return call, kahit naka cellphone ako, or kahit nasa probinsiya, tinatawagan ko siya. Ngunit wala pa rin siyang sinasabi.

Minsan, naikuwento niya na may bago daw siyang favorite song. Tinanong ko kung ano. Sabi niya, kakantahin na lang daw niya. Tapos, he started singing 'This Guy's in Love with You'. Muntik na akong mahulog sa upuan ko.

Isang araw, I confronted him. Tinanong ko siya kung bakit niya ako tinatawagan gabi-gabi. Sinabi ko pa na tawag siya ng tawag, wala naman nangyayari. Pinupuyat niya lang ako. Hindi siya nakasagot! agad.

Natakot ako bigla sa sasabihin niya kaya binawi ko. Sinabi ko na siguro wala siyang ibang kaibigan at naghahanap siya kausap kaya niya ako tinatawagan. Sabi niya marami daw siya kaibigan. Pero kung gusto ko, dare ko daw sya na hindi tumawag sa akin ng one week. Dinare ko nga. Kinabukasan, tumawag siya uli. Hindi ako natiis ng mokong!


Naalala ko ung unang away namin. Nagkuwento siya tungkol sa girl na nakilala niya. Tapos, nag-date daw sila. Mga kalahating minuto yata siya nag-litanya tungkol dun sa babaeng nakilala niya. Hindi ako nagpahalata na nagseselos ako. Pero sa loob-loob ko, bwiset ka. Nakikipag-date ka pala sa iba. Nung kinumusta niya ako, binalita ko na nagkita kami nung ex ko nung high school. At lumabas kami. Hindi pa ako tapos magsalita, bigla siyang nagpaalam. Inaantok na daw siya. Gusto ko siyang awayin. Siya lang ba may karapatan mag-kuwento? Pero binaba ko na lang ang phone. Maya-maya, tumawag siya uli. bakit ko daw siya binagsakan ng telepono. At kung galit daw ba ako.Nagtanong pa siya!

Pero naisip ko, nagselos kaya siya kaya ayaw niyang makinig sa kuwento ko? I took that as a sign. Kaya sa tuwing nag-uusap kami, pinapasok ko sa usapan ang ex ko, o ung crush ko sa office, o ung masugid kong manliligaw. Baka sakaling ma-threaten at mapaamin na kung meron man siyang gusting aminin.

Pero wala. Lumipas ang mga buwan at wala pa rin siyang sinasabi.Nagsawa na ako sa kahihintay. Siguro, wala nga siyang gusto sa akin at nag-i-ilusyon lang ako. Siguro, binibigyan ko lang ng ibang kahulugan ang mga ginagawa niya. So I started avoiding him. I didn't take his calls. I was always out,or asleep, or busy. I would always have an excuse for not talking to him.

Minsan, tumawag siya, roommate ko ang sumagot, sabi ng roommate ko,wala pa ako. Tawag siya uli after 15 minutes, iyong isang roommate ko nakasagot,sinabi niya tulog na ako. Doon niya nahalata na pinagtataguan ko siya.

Tinanong niya ako kung bakit ko siya pinagtataguan. Sabi ko di ko siya pinagtataguan. Pero na-gets na niya un. So he stopped calling.

Nabalitaan ko na lang, nanligaw siya sa ibang babae. Pero basted siya.

Maraming babae pa ang na-link sa kanya. Mga tatlo yata o apat. Pero hindi naman niya nagiging girlfriend. Doon ko lang na-realize, siguro nga kaibigan lang tingin niya sa akin. Eh hindi naman pala siya torpe eh. Kita mo nga,marunong pala siyang manligaw. Binasted nga lang sya. Pero niligawan niya.

Binigyan niya ng bulaklak. At nagtapat siya ng feelings. Eh ako,chocolate chip cookies lang ang naibigay niya sa akin. At wala siyang direct na sinabi.

Okay na sana ako dun eh. Natanggap ko na na nag-iilusyon lang ako at wala talaga siyang gusto sa akin. Pero minsan, tinawagan niya ako uli.

Nagkumustahan kami. Hindi pa raw niya nahahanap ang tamang babae para sa kanya. Tapos, nagkuwento siya na meron daw siya gustong ligawan noon. Aaminin na daw niya sana, kaya lang, lagi daw nagkukuwento yung girl tungkol sa ibang lalake. Kaya nawalan siya ng lakas ng loob na umamin. Kasi daw, mukhang wala siyang pag-asa dun sa babae. Napag-isip tuloy ako doon. Ako ba Yun???

Tagal na rin naming di nagkita o nagkausap. Mga two years nga, bago iyong kagabi. Kapag gumigimik ako kasama mga kaibigan niya, umaasa akong darating siya pero hindi ko siya nakikita. Kung magkita man kami, hindi na kami tulad ng dati. Siguro, nagkahiyaan na. Iyong kuwentuhan nga namin kagabi,napaka-babaw. Hindi na gaya ng dati. Nagbago na nga yata kami. Ang nagagawa nga naman ng dalawang taon. Sometimes, I would ask myself what went wrong. We started off so well. We were enjoying each other's company. Siguro nagsimula ang problema noong nag-e-expect na ako ng something mula sa kanya,nung na-misinterpret ko ang kabaitan at pagiging friendly niya. Hindi naman talaga ako sigurado sa feelings niya para sa akin, di ba? Puro akala lang. Puro hinala. Siguro kung hindi ako nainip, at naghintay lang ako, baka nagkaroon siya ng lakas ng loob. Siguro, naging kami na.

Sabi ng roommate ko, hintayin ko na lang daw. Kung talagang kami, in the end, kami. Wala pa rin kasing girlfriend si Gian. Wala rin akong boyfriend ngayon. Pero hindi ko na mamadaliin. Si Harry at si Sally nga, it took them twelve years to realize their love for each other. Kung tatawag siya uli, at magiging tulad kami ng dati, fine. Pero kung hindi siguro hanggang doon na lang talaga kami. Forever na siyang mananatiling Mr. Could Have Been.

OH IM OLD Hmmm this morning my nephew asked me to accompany him to his fair. So me and my sis went with him since both his parents can’t go. One thing I realized or observed, I already outgrew those kind of stuff but one question bothers me, if I really am tired of those stuff, then why do I still have fun going to toy stores tinkering on the new or unusual and interesting toys??? Just as what I did this afternoon.

WHERE DID ALL THESE PEOPLE COME FROM? After the fair we went to mango square, it was crowded with people. We used up all our time mostly in the Bazaar and the toy store called play 2 learn. Hey there’s this one interesting place there I think its named Fine Living. It offers stuff which are mostly for collector’s item or one in a million things. Then we went home for lunch. After eating, we had to pack these candies to be used for the evening and in return , we asked from my uncle money to go to McDonald’s and eat (hehehehe inggit) and believe it or not we went back to mango square because we had to buy something there which we forgot. And after mango square, hehehehe we ordered some tacos sa Jiggy’s near baseline (hahahahah I was back there, I was there yesterday, I was there last Saturday) Hmm Mcdonald’s and Jiggy’s in one day hahahaha Then I went ayala to buy these white gloves for the santa costume and god still many people. Then we ate in SM duh still many people.

SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN Guess what I was up to this evening ??? Hmmm Helping out Santa ho ho ho! Okay I was helping out my uncle dress up as Santa (ah well he already had the costume, believe me it was like the real thing just shows the tag price) you know like placing the pillow in place on his stomach etc. Well, it was for a good cause, he was distributing candies to street kids and blah blah just to let them feel the spirit of Christmas. It was kinda fun can’t wait for Christmas Eve he will be dressing up again hehehe oh I mean Ho Ho Ho.

Being a fan of his books I should have watched it way before but. . . but I promised myself I have to watch this movie before it evaporates from the theaters maybe this weekend (mangdagit na lang ko ug tao, mamangka na lang jud siguro ko sa akong sis para mukuyug na lang naku hehehehe). SUNNY STORM is there such a thing?!? My God! this morning I woke up at 7:05AM, had the fastest Ligo in the world(I mean I'm a fan of water, I want to just soak myself in water for hours) but that was disregarded this morning hehehehe. Good enough I got there on time hmmm about 7:38AM according to my watch just in time when sir arrived. ONE THEORY Better wake up late so not to linger in the bathroom rather than wake up earlier and linger in the bathroom which makes me late I don't know if this applies to all. Same thing the class was pretty boring but its the only class wherein I'm still awake. Next we had P.E. What did we have in our minds????? Our group was so out of our minds, Imagine 4 out of 6 of us had no class number (including me and apple_pay), then only our group had no index card (what a shame! shame on us!) so I had to run and buy 1 measly index card, bad luck not available in the canteen someone had to go out and run to the store in front of the school. Then our pattern was rejected and of all the days left for us to organize, it was for Valentine's Day what could we possibly do with that!. Our group was the most hyperactive during that time all because of our absent mindedness. After that as usual adventures with apple_pay hehehehe there's never a day without our adventures and bloopers hehehehe. Logic class, we now have a new name , sorry QP but we're not only your angels, but we are also sir's powerpuff girls. Don't know what got into his mind and out of the blue called us that what a. . .

RAIN CLOUD I love it when it drizzles, hehehe not my fault peeps maybe QP's. Got two tests this afternoon, first test ComE What a Pain on the Neck. Second test, D.E. NO comment. Apple_pay your treasurer got the difficult type, I thought papa edu was going up and do the task! WHAT A COLD MORNINGhehehe right QP? who had cold hands? Woke up early this morning. . .(thanx for the nth time). Can't believe I was feeling cold. Heheheheh everyone was shocked, came earlier than sir for the first time, usually its either I'm late or I arrive the same time as sir arrives. Okay its because we had a test, as usual kept on bugging sir well, he was very helpful indeed. Then we had P.E., and we had to form these groups which we would be doing our recreational activities with and we had to make a name how hmmmmm. . nice?!? Then it was breaktime, chatting time in the canteen had a wonderful chat with bosley and of course what's bosley without the charlie's angels heheheh just talked about the stuffs during the weekend. Got pretty carried away that we didn't realize that time has indeed passed. So we(me, van,ipay,john? 0r m(b)itch) hurried of to our rooms and hmmmmm I'm so soooooooooorrrrrryyyyy apple_pay , I swear I didn't push her as in it was just. . . a touch on the shoulder teehee. My God! who wouldn't be scared her lips were bleeding and all because of me, it was an honest accident, being a good me I brought her to the clinic hehehehe thank god she wasn't mad at me right apple_pay?!? but there's always that hidden dumut (I know it was just a joke about the padungug thing, I know you weren't mad at all from the very beginning). We then had our logic class, one big question, acquired this question from our class, I mean this question already exists just that it kinda came back to our memory during our activity in class, if guys think that we girls are quite complicated didn't you know that you guys are quite confusing?!? hehehehe we're just in equilibrium. NICE SUNSHINE?!? I went home for lunch and as usual had to (singit) an afternoon nap for about 15 mins., God! I wanted to be absent on my ComE 222 class which is on 1230PM what a nice time to sleep right? Being a good student, I just woke up and went to school I think I was already running late and guess what our teacher wasn't going to be around since she had a meeting GRRRRRRR! aw well at least i had or the day had a nice sunshine hehehehe Same thing when to the canteen and spent the whole time chatting and studying!. hmmmmm??? physics class/ still pretty quiet since last friday with the new seating arrangement given to us. I think he was really struck by ligthning since he decided not to have the long test which we all (I mean all) don't really know what he's testing us about.
